I have launched at Destin Marina (dock in rough shape and ramp sandy) and Joe's Bayou. The Marina is closer and easier to get to, but i would definitely recommend Joe's - that is where I plan to launch.

Sandpiper looks like you would have to get in the gate by the looks of that map!

I have a boat launch driving crew. Only stipulation is the beer is left in the boat and the radio works (long slow ride back into the harbor)

Disclaimer: "radio works" doesn't mean radio works as long as you have all the components..... radio works = radio is playing tunes when we arrive for pick up. [][] (Gotta put those type of disclaimers in so the Alabama folk don't have an excuse.)

I'm pretty sure drove a boat to a ramp, and backed more than one trailer down, I never saw any beers rolling around at the time.[]

SPC does have a ramp, but you do have to get passed the gate and that could be a problem.Since I'm staying there,I'll see if can pull some strings for you.As far as help otherwise,I'll be around obviously,so we'll just try and hook up when we get down there.

If the good Lords willing and I get all my chores done this spring I should have a boat there. But I would love to buddy up and see if we can find a few fish. Steve promised to keep me supplied in cold sodas if I let him fish my boat, so I quickly agreed.... dave
