I'm a new member. I would like to know when the 2010 Fundament will be. I plan on bringing the wife and a few friends. This sounds like a fun group. We have a 1979 Mako 23. I just repowered it with a 6BTA 250 h.p. Cummins. Does anyone here know much about diesel Mako's?

Mine was originally powered by a 145hp Renault. I would appretiate any tips/advise. The Renault still runs, and is for sale.

Welcome to CM! We did our first Funament last year and had a blast. (even made a video of it). You can bank on the 3rd weekend in June. Steve Arrowsmith (Sailor) heads it up. He also runs the Emerald Coast Mako Owners Club. www.ecmako.com.

As far as your diesel Mako goes, it's a rare setup on here. Very cool. dieseldude would be a guy to talk to. I think he redid a 26 and dropped a diesel in it. You can also ask Brett (Triple Bogey) under the Mako History Q & A thread in the Discussion area. He and his Dad are the guys that built Mako till 1996. The thread is worth reading through...TONS of info. Hope this helps!

I think I posted this message in the wrong place originally, under the sticky, but for Fundament 2010

Ok, Fellas: got my room on the water Quality Inn Bayside with a slip-arriving Thursday 24th, leaving Sunday when the festivities are ended, the 27th. Yeehaa, can't wait to be there to meet you all! This room has 2 queen beds. Kim and I will have one: anyone else want to split the room? $369.63 for the room for 3 nights, divided by two = $184.81 each A STEAL OF A DEAL! Neither of us snore, and we both like to drink alcohol into the night. If you're only coming for two nights, we could pro-rate the nights??? SNG
