  • ClassicMako Get Together Head Count

I'm trying to get a boat and room count to figure out the best hotel to pick so everyone can try and stay in the same place. Most of the docks are still screwed up from Ivan so we may be split between two hotels. I do have a special deal from a dry storage place and the manager said he would store as many inside as possible - if wanted. This would allow some people to stay on the Gulf if they wanted, but you would be on your own to find a place and no group discount.

Here's my list so far of who's coming based on the initial thread. Please post if your name should/should not be on the list or if you need more than one room.

    Ringleader

    RudeAttitude

    HungOne

    Murray

    Manasotamako

    CaptDrunk1

    LL254

    Gary Shallbetter

    Patrick B

    Mako 231

    rooster

    Shankiee

    warthog5

    mist-oprtuna-t

I'm going to try and post the full details next week. My son's first birthday is this week so I'm a little busy. [8D]

I'm particularly interested if any young ones will be coming and if they will be fishing. It would be great to have a junior angler division!

MakoMyDay should be coming with me... We'll probably be in the Intrepid 28 though.

I am going to put together and donate a banner and try to get a new Logo put together for a New T-shirt for this annual event. What I will need to know is what kind of numbers and sizes I will need. Prices will be substantially less since I won't have to package and mail these T-shirts.. I'll be able to hand them out while we hit the booze on Thursday night[].

I'll try to get a Poll modification for the forum where we can get head counts and T-shirt counts more easily tabulated and tracked on the forum.

As far as Logo design, I have a really nice graphic that a friend of Ed Mancini's put together for me... I will see if he can incorporate it into one other thing and then I'll owe him a few shirts for his troubles. Stay tuned.

Ed. Me and mine won't need a hotel as we have access to a condo on the back bay. We'll be at the party Thursday night though. Just let me know the spot.... []

Bring the Intrepid. I've never been on one. Great boat. I can scour it for ideas.... [] Maybe if a Mako rep happens to walk by we can through a shark sticker on the side and show him the way Mako should be thinking about quality.

Hello to everyone. New to this sight but have been viewing it for the past 3 months. I have been boating for 25 years but never owned a Mako. I finally took the plunge 3 months ago and bought a 1987 248 with twin 200 Yamahas and I love it. Count me in on the Mako gathering in Destin. Looking forward to meeting all of you.[8~2]

                              Sailor,

The way things are going with a particular construction project of mine, due to rain, my attendence is very iffy at this point.

I may be able to go over there but definitely will not have my boat.

                              I'm not a happy camper.

                              Take care, Murray
