  • Andros Bahamas Trip moved to Grand Cay

Due to time and money constraints on several of us I we have changed the venue to Rosie's on Grand Cay. April 27-30th. If this helps others make it please feel free to contact me. Grand is 2 miles from Walkers Cay. Less than 100 miles from West Palm Beach. We flew over to check it out and the new Villas are very nice and plenty of room at the marina.

Let me know if you need any help. Jim Costa (Manasotamako) would also be a great resource as well.

I'd absolutely love to, but it definitely is not in the cards right now.

hey all! Is this trip open to someone (and his lovely fishing enthusiasts wife) who doesn't have a mako that would be appropriate to take off shore? IE: if helped out with costs could we consider participating on someone's boat? This would be AWESOME!!

Sure you are welcome. I will have a full boat but I am sure that someone will have room. I need some help picking the dates. Either May 3rd -9th or April 23-30th. Can I get some feedback

If we leave from Ft. Lauderdale it is about 50 miles or so to Bimini. Clear customs there and continue on from there. Its approx 100 miles to Andros Lighthouse Yacht Club from Bimini. I may be off on the numbers slightly but that gives you a good idea. Anyone with at least a 23 Mako should be fine.

My wife and I and our 4-legged family are moving from Atlanta to Tampa sometime in April. We were going to kick off our transition with a fishing trip to Cebaco Bay, Panama as we have an expense paid trip in our pocket to use. HOWEVER, after seeing this thread, we thought we'd like to postpone that adventure and do a MAKO run to Andros with you'all. We could be the medical team on deck and help with costs, labor, etc... Keep us in mind. Anyone going who has room for 2!?
