Wahoo and dolphin are showing up in good numbers. The Charter boat Sunrise caught 2 Wahoo over 50lbs on Wednesday and another over 50lbs on Thursday while trolling between bottom spots. The water on the beach is still dirty but only a few miles offshore it is beautiful and there is lots of Sargasso weed to hold dolphin.
The grouper and amberjack bit has been very good along with a nice grade of Mingo snapper. It appears the cobia have just about gone for this season but we are thankful the tarpon have showed up early along the beaches and there are loads of King mackerel and Spanish mackerel to be caught.
For the shore fisherman they are getting a couple Kings, some Spanish, Hardtails, Blues and Ladyfish at the pier. This week also produced a couple tarpon, cobia and large reds at the pier.
On the jetties the Spanish and pompano are biting, a few blues and plenty of hardtails.
In the bay the reds are still very good and the trout are starting to get a little better now that the water is starting to clear.
