  • Beg, steal or borrow - ie barter

I'm going to bring a pile of stuff to Destin that will be first come, first serve grab it hour. The garage needs cleaning and I'm sure there are things that some of the guys there will want.

I'm also bringing all the props I have and a prop wrench so anyone can try out different props to hopefully make there rig run better. Basically, it's just another excuse to sit at Crab Island and keep the barley pops cold. []

Artie - what props are you bringing? I'm throwing a 15 x 17 but I think I am over propped and not getting enough RPMs.

Don't hold me too it, but I think I've got a 15 x 15, 15 x 17, 15 x 19 in the garage, all for Evinrude Johnson. I'll also lete anyone try the Enertias when we are beached Saturday/Sunday. The 21' has the 4 bladed Stilletto 17 pitch, but it's CR.

I don't have the knowledge these other guys do, but I believe you are right. I was turning a 15 x 17 with my old 200 on the 224 and really feel it was right, therefore I agree you are turning too much prop.

Yes I think you are right Chuck.

                      I turn a 15x15 on a '97 225 evinrude and just get 5600rpms...when I was swinging a 15x17 I could only get about 5300...

Well hopefully Artie has that 15 x 15 that I can try out and see if it makes a difference.

Ok, so went through the garage and came up with this so far:

NFB helm and cable + additional cable (sale/trade)

OMC single throttle/Shifter with red plug (sale/trade)

10 misc doors and hatches (1st come,1st serve)

                          Props:

                          15 x 15 CR

                          15 x 17 (trade for 15 x 15)

                          14 x 21 CR stilletto (sale/trade)

                          14 x 21 stilletto (sale/trade)

14 5/8 x 19 Inertia pair with Evinrude hubs (dees are mine [])

Anyone is welcome to try the props. I plan to park at crab island sometime Saturday for swapping out props so folks can ride around the inner harbor and test them out. Sometime after lunch we'll swap of to Noriega point. Might be a little less practical to swap out props in that deep water.

I'm sure there's more as I go through the gold mine in the gargage that I'll list as I find the jackpot. [8D]

2 x Sabiki rods with Platimun zebco 33 reels.

Let me know if anyone is interested in these. Take them for the day and use them. If no one is interested, I won't bother hauling them around.

I'm also bringing my laptop with Evinrude software to plug into the 2002+ DIs and E-Tecs. If you need the oil changed from 50 to 100 XD, calibrate trim, or just want to see if there are any codes activated, we can check it out.
