  • Can I bring my RV?

I would love to go to the Funament this year with my family but I woul also like to save a little money and use a relatives RV instead of a hotel, so I have a few questions (tried using search, but I couldnt figure it out, so I thought it would be better to ask):

    1.Where exactly is the Funament?

2.Is there a registration fee? If so, how do I register?

    3.What hotel(s) will be used?

4.Are there any good campgrounds nearby?

    5.Where is the boat ramp?

6.Is it okay if I bring my Mitch-Craft or Grady instead of a Mako being that I don't own one?

7.I plan on making all the events (cookouts and stuff) but is there anything not being in a hotel would keep me from doing?

Thanks alot, I really appreciate the input

I'll answer what I can just 'cause Steve is a busy man.

The Funament is based at the hotel.. ie cookouts and awards ceremony. The boating is in the FT. Walton/Destin area.

All boats are welcome. Just bring a smile....

The "home" base is the Quality Inn (I think) at the Ft. Walton back bay. There is a public boat ramp very close by.

You don't have to stay at the hotel. Steve is just able to get good group rates for those who do stay there. My crew has been every year and we opt to stay in a condo down the beach. We also make a full week out of it. My parents wanted to trailer there RV last year, but couldn't book a spot, so you may want to reserve something ASAP.

It's a great time with a great family atmosphere. The only "issues" we've had in the past are fish cleaning beets gone bad as there were no fish.... haha

    Hope you can make it.
