It has been windy recently but I have had several reports of a lot of Wahoo out by the Nipple for those that can run that far when it is choppy but check this out from the Halfhitch.com tackle fishing report:
Lets start with pier fishing for this report. All week with the high winds we have had the pier has been a hot spot in the mornings. Some mornings they catch around 10-30 kings but Tuesday was a completely different story. Direct from the pier blog “THIS MORNING WE HAD THE BEST KING RUN IN OVER 8 YEARS ESTIMATED 100+ CAUGHT”, that is quite a day. I spoke with one angler that was there and he said at one time hardly anyone even had a bait in the water because everyone was fighting a fish, re rigging or gaffing for someone else. Also several anglers reported that there was almost no time that at least 10-15 people had fish at one time for several hours running.
