  • 8 FT LED Tubes Vs Fluorescent Tubes

What will happen if 8 ft LED tubes are mounted into a fixture designed for fluorescent tubes? Could there be any problem with the light distribution?

I replaced old fluorescent bulbs with new LED bulbs in my hardware store. Wired in direct did not require a ballast, better light distribution and best of all energy savings appx $300.00 a month.

I believe that it depends on whether your LED bulbs are compatible with your ballasts. The bulb manufacturer should have info on this for you.

I tried retrofitting some a few years ago and ended up with burnt out LED bulbs...
