  • Converting analog to N2K

My 1983 254 has 2 Johnson 2-stroke Saltwater Series 150s (2005 model) out back that were not equipped with N2K outputs. Im trying to figure out how to convert the analog signals (RPM, oil alarms, temp alarms, etc) to an N2K stream for my SIMRAD Go9 system. Anyone out there successfully done this? Ive found a couple of converter boxes out there, but they arent cheap and Id like some feedback before I go and drop a bunch of cash on the wrong box.

Easier to stick with gauges. You will not only have to wire them up correctly, but then calibrate etc. I've considered it a couple times, but I'm not sure its worth the effort.

I kind of thought the same thing, but at least one of my tachs is junk. I figured it might be better to spend the money on modernizing them than to try and fix the existing junk.

      Thanks for the reply!

It's expensive, but we had success converting engines to NEMA 2000 with Actisense boxes. Specifically the NBF-3 unit
